Monday Stunk
And yes I can think of other words besides "stunk" but this is a family blog.
After a great weekend, Monday was reality time once again. The treatments are tough...have I ever said that before? In addition to the 3f8, Nick had a CT scan. He needed a new IV line and had to drink this miserable contrast crap that he hates and takes about an hour to slowly sip. We dealt with constant treatment related stuff from 9am-7pm and then all Nick wanted to do was go to that horrible Chinese place (China Fun) that is the worst in the free world. Go ahead and try that place if you want to pay $70 bucks for greasy garbage!
But, today is a new day and the sun is shining in New York City. All we have to do is drink some different miserable stuff that protects Nick's thyroid from the MIBG contrast that he will have injected this afternoon. We should only have to be at the PDH for about 20 minutes today but that means 3 hours.....guaranteed.
Tomorrow, he has the actual MIBG scan and a Bone Marrow test with anesthesia. Once he wakes up from that, all the lines are unhooked and we are done until Monday, March 5th!!!
We fly home on Thursday!! Thanks Uncle Mark for getting us the BIG SEATS! Mr. Lynch will be boarding the plane instead of that other guy that usually sits in 34e.
