Testing Monday
After a good breakfast at Silver Star we headed to the hospital to wait and wait most of the next 5 hours. Our first step was to get the IV line installed and that went good as Nick no longer has issues with it so without numbing cream or spray .... in it went. They drew the blood and gave us our other supplies and then we waited to meet with the team. The good news is that when we finally did get in to meet the team, they had the blood results and it was all normal!! This was nice to hear because his platelets and WBC had been down but not anymore. Then, we went downstairs to Nuclear Medicine to get the MIBG injection. We were finally done with everything and the IV line was out by about 3:30. The MIBG scan starts at 9:30am on Tuesday.
We probably won't have any results until later in the week.
On the fun side we went to "Greek Town" in Astoria, Queens because Nick is studying Ancient Greece and he wanted to go look around. It wasn't that great but we had fun nonetheless. Then, we took the subway back and walked to Primola's for another fabulous dinner. That place gets it right and it was packed on a Monday night.
