Infamy

On this "Day that will live in Infamy" we are safe and sound in New York City, speaking mostly English, and ready to do battle with the last two days of 3f8 for this cycle. Happy belated birthday yesterday to Aunt Kellie and big Chuck!

Nick has had better days than yesterday. The 3f8 went about normal but he had to have his insuflon changed out because it had been in for a week and his IV wasn't working just right during the whole day ... causing lots of beeping....."Occlusion Patient Side" was the constant message which in English means the damn thing is jammed. So, they had to take it out when he was finished and will put a new one in today. It isn't a big deal but Nick hates taking the tape off and wasn't a very happy camper. Later, he made it out with us to Pizza and had a nice time but then flipped out over the Ice Cream store being closed and of course blamed me for everything. He was dead tired and almost fell asleep at the table in the pizza place. There is only a small window once the morphine wears off and bedtime to get him fed.

Later on I asked him .... Nick, will you give me a hug? and he replied "In about a week" That is Nick ... full of spunk again...and I love it!!
